PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Château des Jacques is located in Moulin-à-Vent in the north of Beaujolais producing red and white wines from Gamay and Chardonnay. The château has been owned by Maison Louis Jadot since 1996 and is widely recognized for its range of Beaujolais cru wines.
Moulin-a-Vent is arguably the most noteworthy of the ten Beaujolais crus. Its wine made from the Gamay grape variety are known for being some of the most concentrated and tannic made in Beaujolais. With a high point of 361 metres above sea level, Rochegrès is the last of the Moulin à Vent parcels to ripen. This vineyard selection is one of the best wines of the appellation. This Moulin-A-Vent needs two or three years to reach its harmony, and can then age comfortably for several decades.
Grape: Gamay
Sensory Notes: Deep Ruby. Nose - red fruits, delicious dark fruits, oak, vanilla, leather, earthy. Palate - Medium to high body and tannins, medium acidity and a nice long finish.
Food Pairing: Its great complexity makes it the perfect match for a wide range of meats, cheeses and vegetarian dishes.
